FLOW DIRECTION SYMBOLS

The Pipeline Status Symbol is displayed on the home page of the website and indicates the present flow direction of the pipeline:

	The Interconnector is Forward Flow, exporting gas from the UK. Flows are predicted to be at least 15% of capacity.
	A Flow Transition from Forward Flow (Export mode) to Reverse Flow (Import mode) is scheduled to start at some point in the near future. The time that the flow transition shall commence is shown in the text accompanying the symbol.
	A Flow Transition from Forward Flow (Export mode) to Reverse Flow (Import mode) is in progress.
	The Interconnector is in Reverse Flow importing gas to the UK. Flows are predicted to be at least 15% of capacity.
	A Flow Transition from Reverse Flow (Import mode) to Forward Flow (Export mode) is scheduled to start at some point in the near future. The time that the flow transition shall commence is shown in the text accompanying the symbol.
	A Flow Transition from Reverse Flow (Import mode) to Forward Flow (Export mode) is in progress.
	The Interconnector is in Reverse Flow importing gas to the UK. Flows are uncertain and predicted to be below 15% of capacity.
	The Interconnector is in Forward Flow exporting gas from the UK. Flows are uncertain and predicted to be below 15% of capacity.

These images are updated every few minutes. However, the two low flow status symbols (for both Forward and Reverse Flow) are only evaluated and changed at the Flow Transition Decision Times - currently 08:00, 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00UKT.

For the Within Day Decision Times, a low flow status symbol is only shown if the Pipeline Transportation Flow associated with the relevant Decision Time is below a set hurdle. There are separate hurdles for Forward and Reverse Flow.

The hurdles are currently set at 15% of capacity:

Forward Flow (Export) to Reverse Flow (Import) hurdle = 52.5MWh
Reverse Flow (Import) to Forward Flow (Export) hurdle = 45MWh

For the last Decision Time of the day, a low flow status symbol is shown if either the Within Day and/or the Ahead of Day Pipeline Transportation Flow is below the relevant hurdle.

FORECAST DAILY GAS FLOWS

Interconnector will display the Forecast Daily Gas Flows for the next gas day at 17:00UKT, this is publicly available data.

The low flow symbol indicates a degree of uncertainty in the forecast flow rates. These symbols are displayed when flows are predicted to be below 15% of capacity (Forward or Reverse).
