Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a generic XML format used on websites
to enable the site content to be summarised and downloaded whenever
information is added or updated.
Websites with RSS feeds allow users to get the latest news as soon as
it becomes available without them having to visit each website every
day to check for changes.
The RSS feed is available on the Interconnector website homepage beneath
the Flow Transition Status image. The RSS icon is an orange square (as
shown on the left).
In order to subscribe to Interconnector’s News Update RSS feed,
you will need an “RSS Reader” (sometimes called a “Feed
Reader”).
There are a number of ways to subscribe to the feed, either:
1. Enter the feed’s URL http://www.interconnector.com/rss/news/rss.xml
into your RSS Reader; or
2. Click on the orange RSS icon and then copy the URL in the address
bar of the browser window that opens and paste it into your RSS Reader;
or
3. Right click on the orange RSS icon to “Copy Shortcut”
and then paste the address into your RSS Reader.

Once you have subscribed to the feed, the reader will regularly check
for new or changed content and will download any updates that it finds
and alert you to the fact that the Interconnector flow direction has
updated. The message alerts will mirror the text displayed on the Interconnector.com
homepage against the Flow Status Symbol.
